Join Gone to Grad School: Find Your Herd, a graduate student kickoff celebration and resource fair designed to help you start the year feeling connected, supported and part of the broader UT graduate community.

This workshop will introduce attendees to fundamental concepts, methodologies, and practical techniques for working with qualitative data in Python, focusing on how open source software can be used to implement computational approaches for understanding and analyzing such data. A practical, hands-on exercise using Python will follow the introductory talk.

In this interactive workshop, we will examine the reality of failure in research, discuss different kinds of failure, and consider how setbacks can become useful information for the future.
